Since joining RTP as Practice Manager and Senior Surveyor in May 2008, Sue has been developing the Health and Safety specialism within the firm, underpinned by the NEBOSH Construction Safety Certificate (Level 3) she obtained in 2008 and an MPhil in Fire Safety achieved in 2000. As well as CDM Co-ordinator work, Sue undertakes project management and maintenance planning.
With a background in both academia and industry, Sue’s experience has spanned many years. After becoming a Chartered Building Surveyor in 1989, she continued to work in London in private practice until leaving the bright lights at the end of 1993 to commence an academic career in Salford, Leeds and then Plymouth. Sue retains a relationship with the educational sector to help with RTP’s CPD (continuing professional development) and to support building surveying courses through links in research and external examiner roles.
Sue describes herself as "motivated, meticulous and memorable."
