We provide guidance on all aspects of design, obtain planning, listed building consent and building control approvals, seek competitive tenders and carry out administration of projects to completion. 1. Conservations and Historic buildings
Ever since RTP Surveyors were established, works to listed buildings have been to the forefront of the practice.
We hold a high regard for the historic integrity of our clients’ properties and realise that the works to them should be carried out in a sympathetic and complementary manner.
We have extensive experience in providing you with the right advice in respect of listed buildings, notably the legislation involved, procedure required to obtain consent, as well as the experience to negotiate with local Conservation Officers.
We have also carried out significant amounts of work on local grants schemes through the Heritage and Economic Regeneration and Townscape Heritage Initiatives carried out by local Councils.
2. Alteration, Extensions and Refurbishment
We have a strong base in carrying out alterations and extensions to existing properties.
Refurbishment is necessary within all properties along with upgrading to modern day standards and providing the best accommodation for current day usage. Our team of surveyors has a good working relationship with all local District Councils to help achieve consent for alterations and extensions with the minimum of fuss.
As Chartered Building Surveyors specialising in the design and management of projects, we will be taking on the role of Principal Designer under the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015. We can provide up to date advice on these requirements, building regulations and associated matters, and we can help you achieve necessary consents for your proposed works.
We believe that specification and contact administration are vital parts of our services as they enable us to ensure that the elements of design are carefully considered with you at the pre-contract and contract stages. We continue this service to incorporate the finer details you may require.
3. Repairs, Decoration and Maintenance
All buildings require maintenance and it is important that maintenance should be proactive rather than reactive.
We can provide property owners and management companies alike with planned maintenance advice, carry out surveys on their behalf to provide a planned maintenance schedule and activate the same for repairs, decorations and compliance with current legislation.
