We are pleased to share that all of the Building Surveyors from RTP who regularly go on to building sites have been through an assessment process this summer, to advance their construction health and safety knowledge and take the CSCS test.
The CSCS test is the Construction Industry Certification Scheme standard for health and safety and shows RTP’s commitment to keeping our knowledge up-to-date. Several members of the team already had Cards under the system, but the introduction of the new CDM Regulations 2015 meant staff needed to update their qualification. Staff will now be obtaining PQP ‘Professionally Qualified Person’ Cards under the scheme.
To also enhance RTP’s learning in CDM, our in-house CDM consultant, Sue Wilton undertook a three day APS (Association of Project Safety) accredited course on the ‘Management of Pre-Construction Health and Safety 2015’, which included an examination to give eligibility towards the APS register for CDM professionals. With the exam passed, Sue is now progressing her application for this register.
RTP are happy to advise clients, professional colleagues and contractors of CDM requirements. If you need up-to-date advice on CDM, please contact Sue Wilton on 01208 892020.
