As a member of The Cornwall 100 Club, Richard Collett was recently asked to present a funding cheque to a local environmental education project in Falmouth on their behalf.
The Seeds Project is a small charity which was set up to provide environmental education to children and young people in Falmouth, also focusing on promoting healthy, sustainable lifestyle choices.
Richard Collett was honoured to be asked to present them with a cheque for £1,430 of funding from The Cornwall 100 Club to help The Seeds Project continue to run every week, and hopefully expand into workshops for local schools and community groups. They currently offer a two hour session every Friday covering both indoor and outdoor planting, along with advice on enhancing wildlife habitats, understanding ecosystems and recycling, plus fun games and activities.
Richard says that RTP are proud to be a member of The Cornwall 100 Club, which is a club formed of like-minded businesses which want to invest in their community.
Of the occasion, Richard says, “The Seeds Project is a fantastic organisation and I was very pleased to meet several parents and children enjoying the facilities when I presented the cheque on behalf of The Cornwall 100 Club. It was great to receive a lovely thank you card made by the group too.”
We look forward to seeing The Seeds Project continue to grow and blossom .
