Richard Thomas, one of RTP Surveyors’ managing directors, won Project Manager of the Year at the recent Property Awards ceremony held at St Mellion and organised by London and Exeter based solicitors, Michelmores.
The award acknowledged the work carried out by Richard and his team at RTP on the Penryn Town Heritage Initiative (THI) scheme.
“It was a fantastic and successful evening and amazing to gain the acknowledgement for our hard work,” said Richard.
“I feel really proud of the award, but I would have been unable to have won without the support of the whole team in both our Falmouth and Bodmin offices.
“The feedback we’ve had from people in Penryn is amazing and it’s pleasing that the work has had such an impact on the town.”
The company also finished as runner up in the Professional Firm of the Year category, where they were competing against two of the UK’s leading property businesses, King Sturge and Faber Maunsell.
“To be shortlisted for the Professional Firm Award alongside national firms is a wonderful result,” said Richard.
“When we saw the shortlist we could see that we were the most locally based company out of the three, so to be listed alongside national competition is a real accolade for us.
“It just proves that we are able to do a good job and compete against the best nationwide.”
