We are pleased to confirm that Richard Thomas has recently accepted the appointment of Chairman of Falmouth BIDs (Business Improvement District).
The appointment follows the previous chairman, Mr Hick, stepping down due to ill health.
Richard has been part of Falmouth BID for the past six years, joining the board from its early days. His speciality is focusing on the physical improvements to the town, whilst working with local business owners, to positively enhance the face and appeal of Falmouth as an important Cornish destination.
The projects to which he has contributed include the development of the town map, the promotion of the bench project through the town and also the signage project that was rolled out last year involving significant investment in the development of the town as a tourist destination.
Of his appointment, Richard says, “I am very pleased to be appointed chairman of BID Falmouth. I am lucky to have a committed and capable group of fellow directors along with our administrator Richard Wilcox, and believe that it is important that anyone trading on the town should buy into the town. I have been working in Falmouth for over 30 years and have seen significant changes for the better over those years. I look forward to leading in the continued prosperity and development of the town for the benefit of the BID payers.”
The team here at RTP look forward to supporting and enjoying Richard’s ideas and input as he continues to work with the BIDs manager, Richard Wilcox, to keep improving our town and making it the best it can be for locals and tourists alike.
